Sumiko Ikeda is the owner of Sunshine Paradise kennel, besides the holder of the FCI registered kennel name "Sunshine palace S."
Sumiko was born in 1952 in Yokohama and was raised in a dog loving family , where they lived with Shiba Inu, Japanese Spits, and America Cooker Spaniels.
After her marriage, Sumiko started her own breeding kennel "Sunshine Palace S" in 1979 of Miniature Schnauzers, suited for the northern snowy country.
Since that time, Sumiko has become more and more involved in Miniature Schnauzers and developed a love for English Setters.
Sumiko up holds a strict code of ethics and keeps only the highest quality dogs for breeding and showing.
In 1987, Sumiko was granted her license to judge Miniature Schnauzers, and American Cooker Spaniels. Over 13 years Sumiko gradually gained license for more breeds, and all groups , and in2007 was granted Best In Show license.
Besides her dog breeding and exhibiting, Sumiko Has travelled the world judging in America, Canada, Australia, as well as Japan.
Sumiko enjoys the experiences which being a dog lover has provided her.
Sumiko plans to continue her pursuit of breeding the highest quality dogs and enjoying her judging experiences all over the world, as opportunities arise.
